Entrepreneurship and Financial Savings can be complex matters for young kids but we make it fun and easy to understand at Mzuzu E-Hub as a part of creating an entrepreneurial mind-set and a saving culture at a tender age.
We engaged Theana Msolomba of Financial Wellness with Kuwala who is a Business and Financial Coach to facilitate an entrepreneurship talk with 50 primary school students from Katoto Primary School in Mzuzu City and St Michaels Primary School in Ekwendeni. The students were very attentive and inquisitive on the finances and entrepreneurship topics.
To make the session practical, the primary school students visited a number of pavilions that were mounted during the 2022 Biz Market Expo that was happening at the Mzuzu Shoprite Car Park on 27th May 2022 where entrepreneurs were showcasing their products and services. The students interacted with entrepreneurs that are in chocolate manufacturing, fruit tree propagation, greenhouse production, fashion and design and honey production among others.
